A major consequence of the rapidly urbanizing India’s population is on the micro environment (i.e. within the city). Rapid urbanization and rising per capita income in urban areas has given rise to personalized automobiles uses. Though increasing affordability is one of the reasons but lack of door to door connectivity is another roadblock in attracting commuters to a public transport systems. The missing integration of public transport and intermediate public transport system is a major hurdle to provide last mile connectivity.
